Damyanti “Damu” Radheshwar has practiced architecture in the in the United States since 1970. After working with various well known architects, last 3 decades with Polshek Partnership, recently name changed to Ennead Architects, Damyanti left the firm to start D Radheshwar Architect, a collaborative practice that continues to work on public projects, explores community engagement and sustainable development in public and private sector.
Damu had the opportunity to work on a broad range of building types of varied scale, from new construction to restoration, renovation, rehabilitation and historic preservation. Her commitment to efficiently integrating technologies, sustainability and conservation in design and construction, has been fundamentally important aspect of her practice. Every project that she was involved in presented a unique set of challenges and opportunities for creative solutions.
Architecture inherently requires the participation of a large number of people from the start of design to the completion of the building. In her practice, Damu has acknowledged and underscored the importance of every participant in the process, each individual recognized as a valued stakeholder in the project’s success. In a mutually respectful environment, engaging in shared goals with clear communication and encouraging feedback, Damu achieves a high level of cooperation throughout the project from client to consultant and construction team. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards and has been extensively published in the United States and abroad both in professional as well as in popular press.

Damyanti Radheshwar FIIA AIA LEED AP is registered to practice in New York State and is listed with Council of Architects to practice in India.  The nature of her collaborative practice makes it possible for her to practice in other parts of the country as well.
